We’d first like to give a very warm welcome to the Chief Executive Officer of YOU Inc. It is indeed a great honour to have you here.
So, who is this mystery CEO? Well, that’ll be you, the CEO and ultimate boss of you, and everything that you do.
How does it feel to be the CEO, top dog, and head honcho? Are you getting the results you set out to achieve? Are this year’s figures on target, and is the balance sheet looking all pink and rosy?
Or maybe a few skeletons are lurking in YOU Inc’s corporate cupboard. Does it feel like you’re running a tight ship, or do you have a nagging doubt that things aren’t all tickety-boo in the YOU Inc. boardroom? Do you perpetually feel as if someone’s about to launch a hostile takeover, or at least do a runner with your petty cash?
If so, you’re in good company. Each of us is the CEO of ourselves, and frankly, it can be something of a thankless task, particularly when we haven’t got a clue what’s going on half the time. When we do something successfully, it feels like an accident, and when it all goes wrong, we never seemed to see it coming.
And don’t get us started on the abysmal pay and benefits package that goes with this CEO role…
Luckily help is at hand in the form of a book. Well, to be precise, several books. All supplied under the banner of personalCEO.
So what exactly is personalCEO? And why should you be remotely interested?
Well, personalCEO offers a somewhat different take on the world of personal development. It combines an entertaining and irreverent style, with content that can quite literally change your life. And we think this is quite a powerful combination.
In fact, we did quite a lot of research to work out why you were so bad at stuff, and we’ve distilled our findings so you can access them relatively easily. In short, you don’t have to rummage randomly through the endless universe of mindset coaching courses and self-improvement books trying to find the answers, because we’ve already done that for you.
Better still, we discovered that some fantastic ideas are only one page long, but the books they were buried in weren’t. So we’ve taken them out, so you can get straight to the good stuff and ignore all the filler.
Now, our pet hate is trying to learn stuff that’s dry, boring, and not remotely engaging. So, we made personalCEO books a mixture of humour and practical advice. That way, you not only have a fighting chance of finishing the book; you may even enjoy it, which makes it far more likely that you’ll learn something.
In this brand-new series of books, personalCEO will uncover the mysteries of YOU Inc, and give you the tools you need to fix the things that are broken in your world and supercharge the things that could be working better.
The first of these books is Your Own Personal Time Machine, which aims to get you back 42 hours of your life every week, without making any huge personal sacrifices.
So please don’t read it if doubling your free time doesn’t sound that attractive. Or if you’ve already got too much spare time on your hands.
Otherwise, we’d suggest it could well be worth a delve through its pages. Along the journey, you’ll encounter quite a lot of unexpected things, ranging from ukuleles to socks, but hopefully, everything will make sense by the end. You’ll also get to meet someone rather interesting called Derik.
And of course, you’ll be able to get some of your life back.
How do we know you’ll like the book? Well, there are no guarantees, but we’ve included the first chapter in this website so that you can get a feel for it. You can at least see the quality, even if you can’t feel the width, so to speak.
We certainly hope that you enjoy it.
